Blue skies over Hakuba this morning.

It's our turn now with probably 30cm of new snowfall in the village since last report.

Some snowfall to report overnight this morning with about 10cm or so on the ground in the village area.

One of the downsides of an early report like yesterday is that things sometimes end up rather different from early on. Like yesterday.

Blue skies on show in places with the stunning mountains + cloudy scenery at times yesterday from the village.

Good morning from Hakuba. The clouds stuck around for the most part yesterday.

It's another of those stunning bluebird days in Hakuba. Lucky people who are here at the moment.

It's windy out on them there mountains this morning! And cold too, down to a chilly -7 even in the village.

The snow continued yesterday and this morning resorts around the valley are reporting up to 35cm of new snowfall since yesterday.

Light powder snow. How does that sound? There has been around 10-15cm of it fall in the village overnight and up to 30cm being reported from the mountains.

Yesterday it was snowing through the day on the mountains and Hakuba has dry, light snow covering the trails at present. It is snowing this morning as well with about 2-3 cm of fresh snow around the village.

Well yesterday was... not the best day of the season so far. The rain didn't let up until later on giving us some pretty spring like conditions out there.

Beautiful blue skies all around contrasting with the white of the snow on the mountains make for some stunning scenery this morning.
