Blue skies over Hakuba this morning.

We actually got to see some blue sky yesterday afternoon over the village as the clouds broke up and this morning while it is cloudy to the south and there are a few small pockets of cloud remaining here in Hakuba, it's generally a very nice blue sky backdrop to the mountains. It is currently about -4C here in the village. The sun is out and it should be a fine day, with a high of around +1C forecast for the afternoon. There's just a slight wind at the moment and all resorts

Snow is due back later on though and through tomorrow and Friday as well. At the moment clearer skies are forecast for the weekend.
