It's a very early morning report from Hakuba today.
Blue skies on show in places with the stunning mountains + cloudy scenery at times yesterday from the village. Depending on where you were on the mountains yesterday, you either got thick cloud or much clearer views of what was going on. Some very dramatic views on show though if you were in the right place.
It is a cold start to the day, closing in on minus double digits outside, and with no new snowfall to report. The sun is due today though and temperatures may rise to just above the zero point later on in the day. Similar conditions likely tomorrow.
For now though early on there is some thin cloud hanging around the region, but the mountains themselves are mostly clear of cloud. The local forecast does tell us to expect it to cloud over much more though later...
