It's another of those stunning bluebird days in Hakuba. Lucky people who are here at the moment. Lovely deep blue skies contrasting with the mountain backdrop. Nice. So much for the 'cloud' that was on the forecasts for today.
The New Year holiday period is now pretty much over for most (all?) people in Japan and so it's 'back to normal', until next weekend perhaps...
So all of the clouds of yesterday have moved on and it's clear as a bell out there today. Temperatures dipped down to -5C overnight in the village areas and will probably rise to around 0C today.
I'm just taking a look at the forecast for the coming week, and it looks generally dry and no significant snowfall for the next few days. Generally clearer skies are on the menu for the week by the looks with temperatures around what they are today. Snow and cold with us Thursday perhaps.
