Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 232cm
Posted on Saturday 7th January 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
3cm to report from base, though all of that was in the hour or so after my report yesterday. There has been no new snowfall overnight across the mountain.
This morning it's fine and sunny up top, with a thick fog/cloud feel to proceedings down around base areas. You can just about see Naski on the Hikage image below. That will probably have cleared up soon after I post this report.
So, fine weather expected today, maybe some snow overnight tonight, but maybe some more sun tomorrow.
There's night skiing tonight and tomorrow night at Nagasaka.
Enjoy your weekend.
