Greetings from Nozawa on this Sunday morning.
It did get to snowing yesterday and there has been around 10cm. (The ski area is curiously reporting 0cm from base areas, and 10-14cm on the upper areas).
Early on visibility looks very limited on upper areas (snow/cloud or fog perhaps?).
The skies might clear up as the day progresses today and clearer skies are forecast for tomorrow.
Fresh snowfall reported by the ski area at 7am (since yesterday morning):
- Yamabiko: 10cm
- Uenotaira: 14cm
- Hikage: 0cm
- Nagasaka: 0cm
- Karasawa: 0cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
- Yamabiko: 250cm
- Uenotaira: 220cm
- Hikage: 165cm
- Nagasaka: 165cm
- Karasawa: 120cm
All courses are now open except the following:
- Yunomine A
- Kandahar (restrictions)
