Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 9cm

We do have some fresh snow this morning, all of it at base actually coming from evening through midnight. 5-10cm around base areas and the ski area itself reporting 19cm since yesterday morning on the top Yamabiko area (13cm of that overnight).
We could do with more, but it is of course most welcome.
At the moment it is just cloudy.
Fresh snowfall reported by the ski area at 8am (since yesterday morning):
- Yamabiko: 19cm
- Uenotaira: 11cm
- Hikage: 7cm
- Nagasaka: 7cm
- Karasawa: 3cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
- Yamabiko: 160cm
- Uenotaira: 125cm
- Hikage: 100cm
- Nagasaka: 90cm
- Karasawa: 50cm
All lifts now normally operating except these lifts:
- Challenge pair (usually closed on weekdays)
- Utopia pair (usually closed on weekdays)
All courses are now open except the following:
- Mukobayashi
- Hachiman
- Challenge 39
- Kandahar (restrictions)
- Grand Prix
- Kurokura
Planned night skiing (Nagasaka quad):
- Every Saturday until 25th March 2023
