Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 414cm
Posted on Monday 12th February 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
Changing weather during the day yesterday from snow to sunshine, and a bit more snow overnight.
The ski area yesterday was reporting 10-12cm of snow on upper slopes and this morning there's another 1-2cm being reported this morning.
There is some snow falling this morning across the region, though it is holding off just now here outside my place. That might change at any moment. Having said that, we're expecting some sun today. (Kind of confusing!)
What seems almost certain is sunny skies across the region tomorrow and temps starting to rise tomorrow and further still on Wednesday when it might get up to over 10C in the village during the day. Hmmm.
Anyway, it's pretty cold this morning. Time to enjoy.
