Hello from Nozawa Onsen.


So... after the wonkily warm weather yesterday, temps got much lower and we did get some snow overnight. The ski area is reporting up to 14cm out there which sounds good.


Sunny skies are expected across the coming weekend and after the temporary cold of today it will getting mild/warmish again. Should be feel-good anyway.


Fresh snowfall since yesterday morning (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 6cm

Uenotaira: 14cm

Hikage: 5cm

Nagasaka: 5cm

Karasawa: 3cm


Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):

Yamabiko: 205cm

Uenotaira: 175cm

Hikage: 60cm

Nagasaka: 60cm

Karasawa: 40cm
