Snowfall at base this season 1166cm

Kind of an early report today (going skiing!), so most of the resorts still haven’t reported. I could go off on a rant here, such as, isn’t 8am a little late to get out important news needed by our readers to make a decision on their sliding destination? I say yes.
Nice snow out there, but a lot of it, and the avalanche warnings are out. Lighter snow this morning, too, so the danger of sluffs on the denser stuff below is also higher. And the wind is forecast to pick up, so maybe stay on the slopes and hone those skills.
