Snowfall at base this season 678cm

I could be completely selfish and not say that yesterday's snow in the hills was absolutely perfect: settled snow with a deep layer perfect, fresh snow crystals glittering on top. I could no that, and tell you it was terrible and you might as well go somewhere else, and keep that great snow for ourselves. But I do have my journalistic standards of truth to uphold.

OK, it was great, and it's still snowing. The spring scare of last week can now officially be forgotten - although we could still use a little bigger base for late-spring skiing.

Now, I've been honest; just keep it to yourself, OK?
