That's it folks... all of the ski lifts in Myoko at a standstill and we're all done for another season.

The good weather has mostly continued since the last update but we are getting rained on this morning in Myoko.

Your reporter is out of town on this, the last day for all the resorts except Akakan and Seki Onsen, but we've got the official word: 10cm of fresh snow. What a year...

Starting the last weekend with all the ski areas open; spring has really hit, and we're just watching the snow slowly retreat.

Really nice snowfall through the day and into the night; probably a total of 30-40cm (hard to know for sure, as I snow-throwed last night once, and there's an additional 10-15 this morning.

Snow is falling, continuing the unpredictable fun of March in Myoko.

Hello, and sorry to have been out for a day! Local obligations - sitting at a checkpoint for the cross country events of the Junior Olympics, held these two days in Myoko.

It's clear and very white in Myoko this morning.

After a beautifully sunny start to the day yesterday, the snow turned on again.

Having a few problems with our report today, but luckily it has been a fairly simple day - sunny with blue skies up above.

Good snowfall overnight; looks like 20cm or so of very nice, light fresh stuff... although the ski areas aren't reporting much; I wonder why they're being shy about this good news?

A good blast of snow overnight; not as much as it seemed we would get, as it was really coming down in the early evening yesterday, but still a good snowfall.

Yesterday belonged to the rain. But today the snow is back.
