Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 668cm

Posted on Friday 7th February 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

About 10cm of super-light powder on the front deck this morning; I could have used a broom instead of a shovel to clear it off. Nice.

There are no resort snow reports in yet, and I'm guessing it's pretty nice and cold (haven't switched on the car this morning, which is, of course, my finest source of local temperature). I have to head out early today, so add a few centimeters of good snow to the figures below. Otherwise, a lot is the same as yesterday; winter is back and we couldn't be happier (well, not much).
