Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 42cm
Snowfall at base this season 598cm
Posted on Sunday 6th January 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
Snow did indeed start falling right after yesterday's report was up; it got colder, too (kinda scary that it was on the edge of rain at one point yesterday afternoon).
Just over 40cm of new this morning, and light snow continues to fall.
Getting foggy, too (it's staying cold, so it's not because of a rising thermometer).
There was a lot of wind last night, with lots of drifting in some areas. Those drifts were super easy and dense, too (I know because of the big drifts outside my house that needed to be dealt with before I could even get to the monster snowthrower). The tummy is disappearing; those biceps are pumped.
Snow is just going to keep on coming, it seems, with another heavy dump predicted for Tuesday. More weightlifting ahead....
