The snow did in fact start to fall last night and into the morning, although the sun is shining just as I write this. Maybe 10-15 cm so far—not enough to fire up the snowthrower just yet; we'll wait for more before doing a proper clean-up (the newspaper man didn't have to wade in to make the delivery, which is my main concern for the early morning; be kind to your neighbors, right?).
The wind is starting to pick up form the north, and the forecast is for a pretty windy Saturday. I just heard that they cancelled the hydrofoil ferry to Sado, which usually means some strong wind and waves coming. So we're still waiting a bit, but the weather looks ready to give us a pretty good refill of fresh snow over the weekend.
