It's still cold up here in Myoko, even though the last day of the lifts has come with the end of the Golden Week holiday.

A little bit of sun - finally - as we enter the Golden Week weekend.

Akakura Kanko is still reporting 120cm as snow depth and promised to be open until a week day, 6th May.

Yes, fresh snowfall in Myoko.

Snow on the ground this morning; not a lot, but it did hint at the pretty cold temperatures today (the woodstove has been put back into service).

It has been a nice sunny day in Myoko today, with a little extra fresh white stuff on top of the 10cm or so that fell Thursday.

A sunny day today, with the temperatures staying pleasantly cool. It turns out there actually was a little snowfall on Sunday, so the mountains are beautifully white as well.

Sunny again today, but the wind is coming up from the west/southwest.

Miserable, pouring rain again today.

Sorry to be late on this last regular day of the season - but there's nothing much to write about. It's rainy and gray, matching the mood at the end of the season (OK, there still is more skiing to do, but I thought that was appropriately poetic).

Weird and changeable weather continues. Yesterday it went from sunny and getting warm to snowy and cold (and foggy on top of it all).

I may have spoken too soon on the "it's OK but gray" comments of yesterday. A few hours after I posted, it got pretty nasty up here, with some pretty thick fog and limited visibility.

The sun's gone today, but it's not entirely unpleasant. More high clouds than foggy gloom, although the peaks are starting to become obscured by the mists.

Back to sun and blue skies again today; with just a little fresh snow on top to keep things nice and shiny (for a bit, anyway).
