After a pretty good snowfall last night (got the wife worrying about snow removal, while the writer was off in Tokyo) but which didn't add too much snow to the base, it was a pretty gray day, but with good snow conditions. Maybe a little sun tomorrow, before the snow gets turned on toward the weekend. Doesn't look like the earlier rain did much in the way of reducing snow stability, but I'll be climbing in the next few days, and will give what backcountry information I can.
