All the local reports aren't in yet, but I'm off to enjoy this perfectly bluebird day (yes, I've said I prefer a day of heavy snow - but it is March! What are you going to do?).

Time for a climb, I think; there's probably some good snow on north faces. And with possible heavy rain on the schedule for tomorrow, too, it's time to act today.

OK, with only two of the resorts having submitted reports, here's the word: current temperature is about -1°C at the base of Akakan; no fresh snow, the wind is light from the west.
