Sorry to be late on this last regular day of the season - but there's nothing much to write about. It's rainy and gray, matching the mood at the end of the season (OK, there still is more skiing to do, but I thought that was appropriately poetic).

Weird and changeable weather continues. Yesterday it went from sunny and getting warm to snowy and cold (and foggy on top of it all).

I may have spoken too soon on the "it's OK but gray" comments of yesterday. A few hours after I posted, it got pretty nasty up here, with some pretty thick fog and limited visibility.

The sun's gone today, but it's not entirely unpleasant. More high clouds than foggy gloom, although the peaks are starting to become obscured by the mists.

Back to sun and blue skies again today; with just a little fresh snow on top to keep things nice and shiny (for a bit, anyway).

It's a pretty gray day out there today; not a problem if there's a good snowfall along with the clouds and fog, but we've just got a light dusting of pretty wet snow and a cold wind coming out of the north.

I feel like I could pull out some of my earlier reports for March and just use them again: it was snowing yesterday, it's perfectly blue and sunny today.

The next weather cycle has in fact arrived, with blowing snow and temperatures back in the minus again.

It's sunny and warm again for the Newspaper Day holiday (remember your local delivery person... or subscribe and save print media). If it's not going to snow, it might as well be nice.

The weather report predicted rain, but luckily that seems to have stayed in the northern part of Niigata Prefecture.

The wind is way up, the rain is occasionally sprinkling down, but no heavy rains just yet on a Monday in Myoko.

Sunday is starting out better than we originally expected; after two warm, sunny days, it suddenly got cold late yesterday afternoon, with a bit of light snow in the early evening.

Not all the official reports are in, but I'm off to hike in the woods--and it's a perfect day for it!

I kind of feel like I'm repeating myself, as these cycles of warm, sunny, rainy, colder, snowing keep going on....
