Like Chan in China. The King of Jordon is also called Hussein so if you say Saddam, everyone knows it is the dictator of Baghdad, but if you say Hussein, it may be confusing who you mean. Even in Hong Kong, if you yell out Hussein, you will probably find about half a dozen on the streets at any one time. If you yell "shithead" on the other hand, you will probably have at least half the population (including me) responding: "Yeah, you called?". However, if you yell out Saddam anywhere in the world, I bet you'll get a hundred U.S. G.I.s surrounding you saying: "Where is he?" Link to post Share on other sites
