grungy-gonads 54
You know I've often thought about this. Is a good song one that has good lyrics / melody / mood? What about quality of production and musicianship? I like some Massive Attack, but it is much less because of the lyrics - are there any?! - and more of the production / atmosphere / feeling of the sound. I love lots of old songs, but would love to hear them better produced. At the same time, can good production polish a complete turd, so to speak?
grungy-gonads 54
Of course, it goes without saying that many songs have different meanings and special meanings for different people, blah blah....
r45 4
I'm the same. I love some songs without really thinking about the lyrics so much, more the general sound. Of course if the lyrics are painfully bad, it makes a big difference...

xxx 2
I'm not into completely over-produced, but don't like under-produced raw sounding lo-fi sounds either.
frannyo 2
Try St Anger then, you'll love that
enderzero 0
I like to be able to sing along...but it doesn't make or break a song.
