Beat that! well freakster thats exactly what I did! I beat that exact scenario, my laptop (2yr old) has only a 10GB HDD, but I bought an external 120GB HDD connected with a high speed USB2.0 connection. I thought 120 would see me through but alas I never figured on all the goodies Kazaa has on offer. Just got the entire collection of `Sopranos` recently
snowboard_freak 0
All the Sopranos aye. Nice! I've wanting to get an external drive for a while now and the prices have gone down heaps in the last year so it might be the right time to invest in one.

viv&kev 0
What % or size of hard drive should you keep "empty" for it to keep running ok?
xxx 2
I remember the days when I had a "massive" 500MB hard drive
peaker 0
Might be time to clear up some of that space. The big music companies have just decided to start suing the average Joe Citizen. I wonder if they want to check all the cassete tapes and videos I taped off the tv too.

Ummm some programs require more space than others to work as they need space for temp files ,eg video editing reuires up to 4-5GB at times of free space. But these days in general, keep 1GB free as a rule of thumb
