nagpants 1
A sad angry subject here, but a good Japanese friend of mine told me last night that she had been raped last week....by a bloke she works with. She said they were fairly drunk at a party (at his house, with other people there) but the slobbering pig got her in a room and forced himself on her. She says she fought back as violently as she could, but he'd have none of it - and did the nasty. She's really screwed up about it. She doesn't have a boyfriend at the moment and she said I was the first person she has told about it - but she's refusing to go to the police or take any action. Why in gods name? Do the police here do nothing about rape claims or something
Ocean11 0
As her friend, I'd suggest you try to get her to seek counseling before taking 'action' which she may never be up to anyway. Pushing the legal aspect of it may just add to the sense of pressure on her.
nagpants 1
Thats what I said, but she doesn't seem keen on doing that either. But she definitely needs to do something.....
sunrise 0
Contact the Japan Helpline, and ask for advice on counselling for Japanese women in that kind of situation. I'm sure they'll know of somewhere. The people running that site are really good people. http://www.jhelp.com/
