transfer skis

Hello,

Does anyone know of a way to transfer my equipment form Narita Airport to Nagano area.

To a ski resort or hotel or hostel or shipping office?

I plan on staying in Tokyo for 4 days first then head to Nagano and i did not want to drag my skis around.

There should be courier companies in Narita for just this purpose.

 

I sent my gear from Hokkaido to Gifu last winter. It was less than 2000 yen and only took a few days. Cheers to something in Japan that is actually cheap

check kuro neko yamato a courier company that is pretty cheap. They will send it to your hotel. Send it one day in advance just in case but 99% of the time Japan gets things done on time. You can send it through the local convience stores.

All the carrier services including Kuroneko Yamato are located at either end of the arrival terminal (depends on Ter. 1 or 2) So, ask at information. But do bring: Your tokyo address/ph number, destination address/phone number. Money.

If you send them in round trip, you can save some money.

Surely renting will be more expensive though, right? How many days are you planning to be sliding on the snow?

Japan is really good at things like this. Takyubin is very reliable.
