montoya 0
Anyone know where I can get more info on: *Kagura resort season pass *Yuzawa-area resorts season pass (if they exist) Interested to learn if there is an early-season discount, etc..
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted September 9, 2004 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 9, 2004 Quote: Yuzawa-area resorts season pass By that, do you mean an "all resorts" pass? Unfortunately, they don't exist - well not for you and me anyway Schoolchildren, town office/public workers and pensioners the last few years have been able to buy an "all Yuzawa" pass, but they have not been available generally. Wish they were! Kagura lift ticket info is here http://www.princehotels.co.jp/ski/kagura/fee.html but its not got any season pass info up there yet.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted September 9, 2004 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 9, 2004 Definitely agree. Although I remember an "off-record" conversation with a manager at a resort here which went along the lines of "we'll get less income if people buy season tickets, so we don't want to push it too much". Quote: Niigata all-resorts: 80,000 (early discount 70,000)- maybe only for residents, though?? As far as we know, and not any resident just kids, etc as mentioned above. Will ask about this. stripper on coke 0
There are few different resident passes I think. I got one last year for the Kagura/Naeba area. It was also valid at all Seibu Resorts in Niigata. I think I paid about Y50,000 if memory serves me correctly. There was also a cheaper one, although it finished (I think) at the end of March. Try the prince hotel (Naeba), they had all the info/forms and stuff last year. Montoya, if you rent an apartment, that will qualify you for a season pass at resident rates. SnowJapan.Com#2 0
When we spoke to one of the resorts over there a short while back, it was pretty much the same as what H47 said in that article over winter - ie. muzukashiiiii. Did not seem likely, but will let know more if we know it.

SnowJapan.Com#2 0
Impressive hey? We asked them for one a few weeks back and not got one yet..... thanks for reminding us, on the case. This is what they do have http://www.princehotels.co.jp/ski/kagura/course.html (click on the "broadband" link) You'd think they would have something better up there.

montoya 0
going off tangent here, but looking at the Kagura website, it says they plan to open 11/20.... huh? do they get snow that early??
SnowJapan.Com#2 0
They have done in the past yes - thats pretty much 'normal' for them to aim to open around then. They have opened earlier than that when there was a large snowfall, but usually they will be able to open around then - esp. the top Kagura part.
