For the record 'Phar lap' was for the Australian contingent, very few of them realise that "Australias greatest racehorse" as he was known, was from the other side of the Tasman.

Richard Pearse was a tragic genius and died a pauper recieving none of the kudos he was entitled too. I thought one quick mention of this aviation pioneer would enlighten others to pre kittyhawk aviation history.

Kamo, I thought it was common knowledge that MOST of Australia's great racehorses came from New zealand ........You know the old joke - the horses have seen what you guys do to the sheep..... \:D lol.gif
