Hello. Did everyone have a good summer? I hope you were able to get out there and sample many different cheeses. Myself and cheesewoman had a trip to Europe and sampled many interesting cheeses. Very delicious and nutritious and fun for all. Such a social food.

Favorite country for cheese this summer. Difficult, but I think Italy wins, we found some specialist cheeses out in the country that were amazing.

I would be interested to hear of other peoples Summer Cheese Reports?

I had some distinctly inferior cheeses in England over the summer, and a perfectly vile Danish blue cheese in Japan. Considering how unhealthy, notwithstanding its formidable social appeal, cheese is, I feel fortunate to have developed something of a take it or leave it attitude to cheese. More leave it than take it.

Oh so many to mention. Try these:

Taleggio - yeasty!

Gorgonzola "Piccante". cheese.com say 'Pronounced spicy, earthy flavor and powerful cheesy aroma. The taste ranges from mild to sharp, depending on age.' \:D

Fontina Val d'Aosta

Yum.
