snobee 0 Posted February 7, 2005 Share Posted February 7, 2005 My 19yr old niece just arrived from Oz and will do a little solo travelling on a JR pass. She wants to spend 4-5 days in Tokyo. Any recommendations for cheap(ish), safe, easily accessible places to stay. She wants her own private room. She doesn't speak any Japanese. Any help re this muchly appreciated. brett_jackson 0 Posted February 7, 2005 Share Posted February 7, 2005 I stayed at the Shinjuku New City Hotel - it was pretty nice, good view over the park to the skyscrapers, and relatively cheap. Free shuttle to the station, but it was only a 10 minute walk anyway. Staff speak good english too. Link to post Share on other sites
