Snowhaus 0
I love finding out wierd and wonderful facts. I'm reading a book at the moment which mentions the origin of the word sarcophagus. Apparently it comes from the Greek for 'flesh-eating', because ancient Greek coffins were made of limestone which would consume everything on a corpse except the teeth within 40 days. Sven 0
My favourite piece of trivia: Sloths are not only amazingly lazy, they are also very stupid. There's a particular kind of tree climbing sloth that, when it's climbing trees, often mistakes its own arm for a branch and falls out.
jstepp 0
I thought about that and could just imagine that poor stupid animal doing something like that, sounds like something Homer Simpson would do too.
brett_jackson 0
I love stuff to do with space and astronomy. Like this article about a star that's been flung out of our galaxy (the Milky Way), and is heading into the 'empty space' between galaxies. Imagine if it had planets orbiting it with semi-intelligent life like us living on it? "See-ya later Milky Way"
jstepp 0
I hate thinking about space, I end up thinking about it all day because its incomprehensible. It's the infinite Gigabyte harddrive that is our universe. It just sucks that even when we do have the technology to travel (near) lightspeed, it will still take 3 years to reach the nearest star. What a crock huh? I feel short changed.
