NutteyCubey 0
I just read an article on movie trailers that was real interesting. Apart from some exceptions of course lots of them seem to be becoming more and more annoying showing way too much, I prefer to turn away. Here it is anyway http://film.guardian.co.uk/features/featurepages/0,4120,1449360,00.html
oblivion 5
Quote: The modern cinema trailer is Don Lafontaine's fault. You know Don, even if you think you don't: his is the reverberating, honey-and-gravel voice that has accompanied approximately 4,000 trailers since 1963, a troublingly large proportion of which seem to have begun with the phrase: "In a world ... " In a world beyond time, one man has nowhere to run. So that's who does all those. Funny and very correct about the "In a world..." phrase. Some of those voiceovers are just soooo bad. big-will 7
But sometimes the trailers stop you from wasting 2 hours of your life watching the whole thing by showing you just the best bits. That should be applauded.
Dims 0
I think Japan has a similar "Honey and gravel" voiced dude as well. The one that does the Asahi Super Dry voice-over at the end of the ad
oo 1
If you listen to lots of Japanese voice-overs in movies there seems to be a few guys and gals doing most of the main parts.
echineko 1
It's true there are a fe of them who are doing many of the main movie and so many time you can hear same voices. They must be very busy!
