tsondaboy 0
Nope we didnt cover them during the ARAC. I contacted Dave to get his opinion on this matter and told me more or less what Fattwins and Legion is saying. Which is understood and respected.
Fattwins 0
In this case if you thought the slope was deadly then you just get off it. I doesnt matter if the next person thinks differently or not.
samurai 0
kumapix, I was talking about somebody's old pit getting buried if they filled it in. Not using their pit for samples. when people disturb large areas of snow, you won't get an accurate picture of the snowpack even after the next storm cycle. the chances are slim of digging in that spot again, but I just wanted to find a reason for not filling it in i'm just biting the trolling thread, entertaining my ego. I've never had this conversation before and highly doubt I would debate with someone on the hill if they decided to bury it or not. I don't think I would've even noticed whether they did or not prior this thread. I respect one's concern for their surroundings, but will admit that perhaps this goes a bit far. Perhaps Hakuba has an etiquette thing for all the photogs. it's a hole in the snow. everybody duck.
Fattwins 0
i dont think that it has anything to do with hakuba though. I was told long ago fill your pits if you feel safe everytime.
YellowSnow 0
What if I build a snow cave? Should I collapse that later?
