That reminds me I still have Tsonda's Oxyride batteries in one of my beacons. Gotta take them outa there before I take the wrong beacon one of these mornings!

 

I am glad to see that warning was useful to some peeps, I am sure there are still quite a few out there with the same problem.

I held the new DTS Tracker model in my hands at the ISPO with 3 antennas, better software, realtime search etc. it should in stores in the coming fall.

don't know if it can handle the oxyride batteries though.

I opened my back pack today and found out that I had forgot to turn off my beacon (better forget to turn it off than on). Last time I was out was last Friday, so the beacon was on for a week but was still beeping.

The batteries had dropped to 2% but I was still able to turn it to search mode.
