redvaseline 0
Has anyone gone boarding at Ichinose yet? If so, how was it? Thinking of going there in the first week of Jan but, according to the report(s), just over 50cm of snow. Any Pension/Lodge recommendation there? thanks
iiyamadude 6
I was up there at the end of last week. Compared to usual not much snow at all, and the resorts on the whole aren't connected up yet (not enough snow). I had fairly decent conditions in the morning but it was poor in the afternoon - and not much of it about, quite limited. I'm waiting for a decent snowfall before spending money again. nzlegend 1
I have never been there but I just looked at SJ Kogen site and it looks surprisingly flat and lacking terrain! http://www.snowjapan.com/e/spotlight/shiga-kogen.html With all the Flatseko jokes I wonder if there are any Shiga Flatgen jokes around? Yuki's Passion 1
Just got back from Shiga. Only a little bit of fresh snow up at the top of Dai 3 at Yokoteyama on 2 different days. The base is fine but the most powder snow you'll find will be the jinko yuki. SG, theres actually some really sick terrain there.
