ill ski sometime into june but it will be off and on. tateyama will become the go to spot sooner rather than later though.

yeh i'm thinking early july, i'm sure the snow is pretty shitty but i should just keep on hiking nonetheless, if i'm gonna make it up yari at some point

 

i'm off to nz on 22nd july for some not-so-shitty snow!!!!

 

september and october, dare i say it, may be the ONLY months i won't ski this year - which is not bad really

There is definitly a load of snow in July to ski

the sun melts the snow and you get sun cups.

sun cups look more like ramen bowls and they are hard to ski if the snow isnt perfect. I personally dont enjoy it.

 

TOque is a lover of the suncup god.

 

this weekend the weather looks good for kayaking more than sking.

nagano and gifu is where the steepest and bigest lines are. If anyone know of better places please do tell. nigata is pretty good though but a far drive.
