val 0
Anyone know if Kiroro has Gaijin sized rental equipment? We're staying at Kiroro for the first time 02/6 - 02/10, wondering if we can rent at the resort or if it's better to get equipment elsewhere. Also reading the boards Kiroro sounds more intermeidate, any more challenging resorts that can be day tripped from Kiroro? Thanks! Val
3da5snow 0
Why don't you call them and ask if they have the sizes you need? phone (0135)34-7111 Sapporo Sales Office phone (011)512-4333
val 0
Thanks - got skype for call from US Any suggestions for day trips to more challenging resorts than Kiroro... my post was confusing - first time skiing Japan, not first time skier.
quattro 1
Niseko might not be to far maybe a couple of hours. Plenty of ggood stuff there.
3da5snow 0
Rusutsu is a pretty big resort too. I went there and had a blast!
number9 0
Someone will eventually post that the challenging stuff is not in Hokkaido, but places like Hakuba. Depends on how challenging you want it though. How is Kiroro supposed to be? I have heard good things about Rusutsu, though not necessarily about the steepness
val 0
A few older posts have described Kiroro as having good powder but only intermediate runs. One or two mentioned heading off trail there for a greater challenge. Coming from a land of ice & hardpack, deep powder may be challenging enough.
