gorkhali 0
Hi, I am planning on taking a trip out next week (Jan 5th) from Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am hoping that it won't be too crowded straight after the New Year's holiday and also since I will be starting on the Thursday, there should be some places available. Any suggestions as to where would be a good place to go (not Hokkaido since I am planning on going there twice later in the season)? Also, any recommendations on travel agents in Tokyo who are good at these sort of things? Thanks, S.r.
dale#1 1
It shouldn't be too busy then at all. You'll probably want to go to somewhere in Nagano, Niigata or Yamagata somewhere like that. I'd try asking some hotels directly rather than travel agents or go to JR and ask them about some of their cheap packs, you'll probably save money that way.
gorkhali 0
Thanks. It looks like I will be going to Nozawa Onsen. Now just gotta make sure that they have enough tickets for two available at JR. Btw, do you have to make reservations in advance for the bus from Nagano station to Nozawa Onsen? sunrise 0
I'm guessing not - I didn't have to when getting the bus from Nagano to Hakuba. But perhaps someone that knows better can let you know.
