Snow scoot (?) and snow bike

I was reading about these last night somewhere (in Japanese) and wondering what the difference was... anyone care to shed some light?

This is a snowscoot, 2 fat short boards like a snowboard get connected back and forth by some pipes. No chair.

 

A snowbike has a chair and it's like a ski, 2 slim boards left and right.

 

You have to put your weight really opposite way from skiing when you turn right/left on a snowscoot which is really confusing until you get used to it.
