Coops 0
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and am trying to plan a trip to Nozawa in Feb. I've read somewhere that some parts of the mountain have been off-limits to boarders in the past. Is this still true? If so, is there still plenty of terrain for a boarder to keep themselves ammused? Also, is it difficult for a non-japanese speaker to find accommodation on arrival. Any tips on how to book into a minshuku? Any help much appreciated. Thanks!
Fattwins 0
2 courses are off limits but I never ski there cause its not that great steep but kept icy for racing. The main reason its closed off half the time to everyone is cause of racing. its on a different side of the mountain so dont worry.
mattlucas 0
I was a Nozawa virgin up until last weekend. FT popped my cherry and it was amazing. He wasn't gentle at all. We didn't start slow either. Just jumped right in. I can't wait to get back there.
ortwin 0
Except the two courses mentioned by Fattwins, the only other one off-limits to boarders is the Yamabiko A. It's the left one at the top lift. For booking a minshuku try http://nozawayado.com/index.php?menu=ENG
