SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted October 7, 2005 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted October 7, 2005 Starting tomorrow (Saturday), we are going to be making some changes to Snow Japan. In order to make all the new updates to Snow Japan possible, we have made some major changes and modifications to the database that the site runs on. The details are really not very interesting from a users point of view, so we won't bore you with that, but integrating the changes into the live site is a fairly complex procedure. Why are we posting this? First of all, please do not make any modifications to your members page until we have made the changes. Also, especially in the first few days as the changes are made, there is a good chance that you might find some strange things going on with the site (as some parts are uploaded while others aren't), as well as some bugs in the system (that only appear as we update things to the live site just to annoy us) that need to be seen to. We'll be doing what we can to make this changeover as smoothly as possible, but it will probably take a number of days before it is all done. So you might see some irregular things happening if you use the site while we are making changes, but we ask that you please don't email us about any problems until we have made all the updates. We'll be posting some new threads on the Forums about the new functionality as well once everything is up. We'll let you know when we're at that stage. Many thanks! Link to post Share on other sites
