Raury 0
The season here is off to a great start. Early falls chilled the ground off, allowing for the following snow to stick really well. Here are excerpts from the snow reports I receive every AM: Falls Creek SNOW CONDITION Fresh Snowfall (24hr): 0 cm Skiing Conditions: Excellent Snow Cover: Excellent Consistency: Dry Snow Depth - Average: 114 Snow Depth - Snowmaking: 107 Snow Depth - Sun Valley: 107 cm Snow Depth - Northside: 117 cm Snow Depth - Village Bowl: 120 cm Last Snowfall: 10/07/2002 Charlottes Pass: SNOW CONDITION Fresh Snowfall (24 hr): cm Natural Cover: Excellent Manmade Cover: Good Consistency: Firm Packed Average Snowdepth: 165 Last Snowfall: 090702 I will be heading off to Falls Creek on 18 July for 6 days, then round to Charlotte Pass for a further 3 days. I live approx. 12 hour drive (by bus) from the snow, so I cannot get there easily on the weekends. I am looking at moving to Falls Creek for the '03 season For more info on .AU snow, havea look at the other websites I hang around on: Ski dot Com also known as Sno Info, and Snow dot Net There are some great cams at Sno Info, and I am usually in the forums at Sno Info. Just fixed the incorrectly coded links. [This message has been edited by Raury (edited 15 July 2002).]

Raury 0
If you are looking at the cams, then most of what you see is groomed. At Falls Creek, the cam called Ruined Castle looks across the bottom of an ungroomed area called Sun Valley. The cam called Cloud Nine shows a lot of ungroomed on the far side of the valley, and most of the stuff on the right of the cam is also left ungroomed. The run called Main Street is to the left of Cloud Nine cam, and runs down the side of the Towers chair (the Towers cam is the bottom of that run and you can see 2 other runs joining in.) On the Summit cam, about 40% of what you can see above the horizontal line is groomed. On the Thredbo cams, Valley View shows all the incoming runs at that end of the valley, so it is mostly groomed, but there are pocket here and there that are not. I haven't been to enough of Thredbo to talk about the other cams. [This message has been edited by Raury (edited 15 July 2002).]
