newtoallthis 0
All this crazy snowfall that we seem to have got in January - does this pretty much mean that we're on for a long season?

connackers 0
I`ve only been here for one season, but it was surprising how quick and hard spring set in when it came. The snow round here in Western Honshu (Tottori and Shimane in particular) went from 2m of half decent stuff to less than 1m of unrideable slush and rocks in what can`t have been much more than 2 weeks. It was all over by the beginning of March. Obviously it won`t be quite so bad in places with decent snow and mountains, but if an early spring comes it`ll all go pretty quick. rach 1
It does seem to dry up real quick. But I'm sure having more is better than having less.
