sapporo 8
So, my parents are in Japan and we are going to spend a night in a cottage in Niseko tomorrow. Being a vegetarian (my mother) in Japan is a little hard and was wondering if there were any farmers markets in Niseko and/or Kutchan to buy some fresh, local veg? I found one a good few years ago but don't remember where it was! Thanks.
Go Native 70
Sometimes they have a farmers market out at Takahashi Farm (Niseko Milk Kobo) on the way up to Higashiyama. There's a good one that's always open at Niseko View Plaza in Niseko Town. I think there's a pretty good one out at Kyogoku these days as well.
Zer0star 0
or the one opposite K's denki in Kutchan
Go Native 70
Personally I wouldn't consider that one a farmers market as such, more just a local green grocer.
Biggen 3
I have been riding around Izu farming area for the last few months and lately I been stopping at stall which are popping up offering the days picking which get knock back buy the local buyers. This produce is knock back because of blemishers or odd shape or is not visional appealing. There is nothing wrong with the produce and prices are less then the local shops. Maybe the same thing is happening you your area Sapporo?
