ILoveZao 8
If you are there for a month, buying skis might be worth thinking about.
Alexander L 80
You'll find some manky old rentals for sale in the Alpen shop. Much cheaper than renting and they are the same quality.
OlderNoob 0
Mmmm Manky old rentals.... sounds too delightful to miss out on...... I have set aside a day or two to get acclimatised, purchase boots and source a flat iron that works on 110V ... Maybe they will do a deal with boots and ski's... although Manky old rentals doesn't do much for me I am afraid....
frootstik 0
2 weeks and in there! Can't wait! So I'm in the process of getting my cash together. I'm putting some money in a MasterCard travel card, with yen loaded on it. But I also need to get about $2000 in cash to take with me. Should I get all larger notes like 10000 and 5000 yen? Or get smaller aswell?
Thundercat 60
All large. 10,000¥ notes do the trick!
onehunga 26
As BM says, go with 10,000yen notes. No matter how small the purchase nobody will mind giving you change.
rach 1
People don't mind giving change from 10000 yen notes. Well maybe not good for a 100 yen can of coffee. But you shouldn't be buying those anyway!
Alexander L 80
Take lots of 1000 notes. Good for the vending machines. And have a huge bag for all the coins. I hate all those coins, makes me want to put them in the vending machines too.

Is there a place that you can book a private onsen or hot tub in the Grand Hirafu village?
