Monkey4 0
Each season I usually ski in North America but have heard exciting things about Japan, so this year it's my first trip to Japan. I will be skiing Hakuba, Nozawa Onsen and Niseko. I would love to hear about other skiers favorite Ski runs, pubs, shops, in fact anything at all as I will be on a big learning curve. Thanks everyone, and have an awesome season.

You need to sit down with a big cup of coffee and spend a few days reading through the Forums and using the search!! When are you visiting?

pdoull 2
Imho-suggest not wearing watch while in onsen - only if you still want it to work.

Dunga 1
My favorite resort in hakuba is iwatake. Favorite run is on happo over on the ridge near skyline lift. Favorite eats were the soba noodle place and izakaya Hie. Favorite thing to do outside of skiing was a snow monkey trip, along with outdoor onsen and the bbgun bar and rastablaster for late night drinks. Niseko, I really like bang bang for food and the crab ramen over at hanazono.
Slippery Jim 65
What I really like best is being the only one on the mountain the morning after an overnight dump of half a meter of blower pow, nothing but my own tracks top to bottom for the entire day. Somehow, that always makes me feel happy.
