ippy 66 Posted March 28, 2012 Share Posted March 28, 2012 had a surprisingly good day at nozawa yesterday. Revelation 1: the snow at yamabiko was proper light fluffy pow (depending upon where you rode). Revelation 2: I found the massive slackcountry run from the top of yamabiko to that long green run off the (skiers) left hand side of the skyline. It was fluffy soft light pow for the first third, then got a bit crustier, before you come to the massive avi barriers and it turned slushy. Still, nozawa just scored some massive points. Ill probably write a much kinder review this time. That run is pretty awesome. At ryuoo today. No buses anymore so had to get a taxi here from iiyama, only cost a mere 6000 yen. About twenty minutes ago, nice big flakes were dropping from the sky, so im hoping its been on and off all night so that the b course is a blast. Its still snowing, but the flakes are looking a bit wispy. Anyways, better get ready. No hurry because they dont open the b course till the afternoon, but should be a fun day i reckons.
