porky 0
What exactly is it?
Ocean11 0
As far as I know, it's grains of powder snow that get carried into the air and sparkle in the light. Very pretty. There was a lot of it in the air in Hakuba at the beginning of the season.
scouser 4
I've never seen it but it does sound pretty indeed.
zwelgen 0
Ive seen it a few times and its great - makes me feel like a princess ahhhhh childhood dreams Ummm Ive seen it sometimes when its misty/foggy whatever you call it (I live by a river) and when its a cold as morning and the sun starts to burn through the layers and you get it juuuuust right the mist is actually frozen particles and the sun catches it - voila! Diamond dust. The days ive seen it there was no snow, infact blue skies above the mist layer. The first time I saw it I was in total awe. But sadly only seem to see it about2 or 3 times a year. Also sometimes get it at ski fields when kicking up a bit of snow, but its different, that stuff comes down again but frozen fog just hangs there in the air.
akibun 0
It sounds very pretty. By the way, what is meaning of 'voila'?
Ocean11 0
'voila' is French. It means 'there you go', 'it's ready/finished'.
