Goosie 0
No tipping in hotels in Japan. It freaks me out that petite Japanese girls are required to handle huge cases and trolley them up to the room. It's very embarassing to have a wee lassie. Nikko Sapporo, shame on you.
snowdude 44
In England no tipping required anywhere, except some of the very expensive restaurants seem to expect it. Expensive or not they wont get a tip from me! I don't tip, and never have and don't intend to start either. The staff at any establishment are anyway paid to do their job. Bus drivers don't get tips, the fire brigade don't get tips, they are in the public service business, so no reason why restaurant staff or hotel staff should expect a tip, that is how I see it! Tubby Beaver 209
I often give the Police tips (very quietly and under my breath of course!)
pie-eater 207
I'm going to give 'em a tip or two as well if I don't get those bhajis soon!
