klingon 10
OK so the main crossing was opened to pedestrians again yesterday after over 2 and a half years being closed after that awful random knifing incident when people got killed and injured. But why did it take so long to re-open? And more importantly what is the mad fuss about security there seems to be? It was one dude going mad, it's not as if it is a terrorist target or somewhere that has a history of tons of people attacking it. Surely someone wanting to go mad would and could do it anywhere..... Looks like they were arresting people left right and centre yesterday for the smallest of things.
grungy-gonads 54
I was thinking similar. Funny seeing all the otaku dudes dressed up for the occasion.
scouser 4
Not been to Akihabara for a while. Is it still getting progressively less interesting with more "maid cafes" and stuff?
klingon 10
Pretty much. I see they have installed 50 cameras or something there. I just don't get why it is seen as such a risk compared with other areas.
NoFakie 45
Didn't know it was closed in the first place. All seems a bit ott. Wasn't there a video game or horror movie they could blame instead?
grungy-gonads 54
Mad OTT in action this is.
kkk 7
And even now it is only on a very limited time basis. I think a few hours on Sundays for a limited time to see if all is ok. Baffling for sure.
