scouser 4
What are these demo days actually like? Anyone any experience?
Ocean11 0
They look fun, if you happen to be person of restricted growth. Fully grown adults won't find much to appeal as boards don't tend to be above 160 cm and boots, if there are any, won't be bigger than 28. If that wasn't the case, I'd be all over them. NoFakie 45
Take some kind of ID such as driving licence, gaijin card etc. They'll let you ride whatever they have for one to two hours. Usually you can switch boards as often as you like. Depending on the company, they may have fewer bindings that boards. Most demos are free, but sometimes you have to pay 1000 yen or so. Burton are having one later this month at Goryu. If you want to search the Net, enter the words スキー (ski) or スノーボード (snowboard) and 試乗会 (shijoukai) demo into Japanese Google. With regard to snow sports, the katakana word "demo" means a "demonstrator", a kind of uber-instructor, not an equipment demo.
