grungy-gonads 54
Here's a question. Michi no eki. é“ã®é§… Are they a totally private business or do towns cough up to get one of them going?
RobBright 35
thought they were government designated used to promote local tourism?
grungy-gonads 54
I don't know. While I was waiting for the footie SMAP Shingo Guys programme was doing a thing on them. They seemed to be recommending the one in Kawaba, Gunma, among others.
Chriselle 158
Back before I bought my LandCruiser I had a camper van and we went all over the country mostly staying overnight at michi-no-ekis. They are very convenient and we ended up meeting a lot of other nice folks doing the same thing.

Yeah, when we went to Izu a few months back, whilst I was driving, the wife wanted to stop at one. Apparently it was famous, and had some "special" omiyage. For the life of me, can't remember what it was now.
